HOW TO MAKE CLIMATE CHANGE SEXY is a podcast that explores the relationship between the fashion industry and the climate crisis.

How to Make Climate Change Sexy, uncovers how the fashion industry is fuelling the climate crisis and what can be done to prevent this. We’ll be demystifying commonly used terms and cutting through the greenwashing many brands partake in, as well as highlighting innovative figures, brands and technologies that are helping to reform the industry in the face of the climate crisis.

As for the provocative name of this podcast, it was inspired by Japan's environment minister Shinjiro Koizumi. In 2019 he said that to mobilise young people in the fight against the climate crisis, the issue must be made ‘sexy’ and ‘fun’. If we consider something sexy to be ‘very exciting or appealing’, then there is no better vehicle than fashion to make climate change sexy!

How to Make Climate Change Sexy is hosted by Issey Gladston, a Writer and Photographer currently working in the fashion industry. She is also a graduate from the University of Oxford with an MSc in Environmental Governance MSc.
